Salvo SC Youth Soccer Camps

Improve your soccer skills in a fun, inclusive, and challenging environment! Salvo SC summer camps are open to players ages 5-14 and run weekly in June and July. The primary focus of our camps is to provide an engaging environment where players are challenged to develop comfort and confidence with the ball and to give them the tools to further develop their skills beyond the camp’s setting. As a great source for entry-level and beginner soccer players, Salvo camps bring excitement to your summer!

Camp Offerings

Our summer soccer camps are offered for various degrees of skill levels and time availability. Sign up for one week or multiple weeks, half or full days, or choose camps based on location!

IconHalf-Day Camp

The Half-Day Camp creates a fun environment for players to develop comfort and confidence with the ball, learn more technical skills, and implement these skills in small-sided games that encourage players to enjoy the game and take chances.

This camp is suitable for the new player and the more experienced player. Players will be coached in ability groups regardless of their age.

The basics for the Half-Day Camp:

  • Ages: 5U-14U
  • Cost: 5-day camp for $180
  • Days & Time: Mon.-Fri. 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

IconFull-Day Camp

Similar to the Half-Day Camp, the Full-Day boosts players ball handling skills, guides them through more technical activities, and encourages growth through small-sided games in a challenging but encouraging atmosphere.

Players are coached based on their ability regardless of their age, and the camp is welcoming to both the new and experienced players.

The basics for the Full-Day Camp:

  • Ages: 9U-14U
  • Cost: 5-day camp for $225
  • Days & Time: Mon.-Thurs. 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Fri. 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Locations:

    • Flint Hills in Rosemount
    • M Health Fairview in Woodbury
IconElite Camp

The Elite Camp is designed to move at a faster pace, including introducing more challenging skills and pushing players to reach new levels. This camp is intended for current Performance (traveling) players or those who are looking to be at the Performance level.

Players will be pushed to run more intensive drills and practice greater control in ball handling and other techniques, as well as play in small-sided games. At the end of the camp, it is our goal that each player will leave as a better soccer player with greater confidence the next time they step on the field. Players will be grouped by ability as appropriate.

The basics for the Elite Camp:

  • Ages: 11U-14U
  • Cost: 5-day camp for $215
  • Days & Time: Mon.-Fri. 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Locations:
    • West St. Paul Outdoor Sports Complex
    • Flint Hills in Rosemount
    • M Health Fairview in Woodbury
IconStriker Camp

The Striker Camp will help players develop the skills required to score goals. Players will work on striking the ball in various ways, including:

  • Low-driven balls.
  • Different types of chips.
  • Bending with the inside and outside of the foot.
  • Finishing off of crosses on the ground and in the air.
  • Shots for placement from close range.
  • Quick-release shots and volleys.

At the end of the camp, it is our goal that each player will leave as a better striker with greater confidence the next time they step on the field.

The camp will be limited in attendance to keep the player-to-coach ratio at ten-to-one to ensure appropriate time can be spent with campers on their individual technique and allow them optimal strikes on the ball.

  • Ages: 11U-14U
  • Cost: 4-day camp for $215
  • Days & Time: Mon.- Thur. 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Locations:
    • West St. Paul Outdoor Sports Complex
    • Flint Hills in Rosemount
    • M Health Fairview in Woodbury
IconGoalkeeper Camp

The Goalkeeper Camp focuses on the specialized position of goalkeeper. It is critical that players dedicated to being a goalkeeper learn the skills to become consistent and confident. ​The Goalkeeper Camp curriculum focuses on footwork, handling, diving, distribution, and positioning.

At the end of the camp, it is our goal that each player will step into the goal with greater confidence. Players will be separated based on experience so that each training group is appropriate and challenging.

This camp will be limited in attendance to keep the player-to-coach ratio at ten-to-one to ensure appropriate time can be spent with campers on their individual technique. This camp will often be held in conjunction with the Striker Camp.

The basics for Goalkeeper Camp:

  • Ages: 11U-14U
  • Cost: 4-day camp for $215
  • Days & Time: Mon.- Thur. 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Locations:
    • West St. Paul Outdoor Sports Complex
    • Flint Hills in Rosemount
    • M Health Fairview in Woodbury

Will There Be a Check-In?

Yes. When you arrive, please check-in your player with our staff on the first day only.

What Happens If There Is Inclement Weather?

If we need to cancel a camp day due to inclement weather before camp starts, we will decide by 7 a.m. We will send an email message to the email address you provided during registration as well as post it on our website.

If we need to cancel camp due to inclement weather after camp has already started, we will send an email message to the email address you provided during registration, get the kids to safety, and stay with the kids until a parent/guardian is able to pick them up.

There are NO refunds or reschedules for inclement weather.
