Lydia Ruppert brings a diverse coaching background spanning collegiate, club, high school, futsal, and pre-professional soccer to Salvo Soccer Club. Her experience across multiple levels of the game, combined with a strong playing career, provides valuable perspective in developing players both on and off the field.

Ruppert currently serves as an Assistant Coach and Director of Operations Assistant with the University of St. Thomas women’s soccer program, where she supports all aspects of the program’s competitive and operational success. She also coaches with Capital City Futsal and operates False Nine Soccer & Training, providing specialized technical instruction and individualized player development.

Her coaching experience includes roles across high school, club, futsal, private training, and the USL W League. During the 2025 season, Ruppert served as an Assistant Coach with Minnesota Aurora FC, helping guide the club to an undefeated regular season and a USL W League semifinal appearance. She also spent eight seasons with Washburn High School, where she advanced to Varsity Head Coach while overseeing the development of more than 80 student-athletes across four teams.

As a player, Ruppert competed for Minnesota Aurora FC, the University of Minnesota women’s soccer program, the University of Minnesota Women’s Club Soccer team, and Minneapolis Washburn High School. Her playing career included appearances at the USL W League, collegiate, and high school levels, earning All-Conference, All-State, and All-Metro honors while helping lead her teams to multiple state tournament appearances. She was also recognized as an All-American nominee during her high school career.

Ruppert holds a U.S. Soccer National D License and is currently pursuing her U.S. Soccer National C License. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes technical excellence, tactical understanding, confidence on the ball, and creating an environment where players are challenged, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential both on and off the field.
