
Coach – GiRLs ACademy 2 (U14)
Scott LaShomb brings more than 30 years of coaching experience to Salvo Soccer Club, with an extensive background spanning club, high school, and collegiate soccer. Since joining Salvo in 2023, he has coached within the Girls High Performance program, helping develop players across the club’s competitive pathway while fostering an environment built on accountability, growth, and a passion for the game.
Prior to joining Salvo, LaShomb coached Girls Academy, NPL, and premier-level teams with Minnesota Eclipse, where he also served as the club’s Goalkeeper Director. His broad club experience has allowed him to work with players at every stage of development while building successful, competitive team environments.
LaShomb has also enjoyed a distinguished high school coaching career. Most recently, he spent a decade with the East Ridge High School girls soccer program, serving in roles from the freshman level through varsity, including Co-Head Varsity Coach. Throughout his coaching career, he has contributed to multiple Minnesota State Tournament teams, including back-to-back state championship squads at Totino-Grace. His accomplishments have been recognized with Section Assistant Coach of the Year honors in 2002 and 2003, as well as Minnesota Class A Assistant Coach of the Year recognition in 2003.
Known for his thoughtful approach to player development, LaShomb emphasizes technical proficiency, tactical understanding, and the confidence required to compete at higher levels. His extensive experience in goalkeeper development, team organization, and game management allows him to provide players with a well-rounded developmental experience that prepares them for long-term success.
LaShomb’s coaching philosophy centers on creating a positive, challenging environment where players are encouraged to grow as competitors, teammates, and individuals while developing the skills and habits necessary to reach their full potential.
