Coach – BOYS ACademy 1 – U18
Taelynn Gittins is entering her second year coaching with Salvo. Returning to coach for the club where she developed as a player is especially meaningful, as she played for both Woodbury and Salvo throughout her youth soccer career.
Gittins played collegiate soccer as a goalkeeper at the College of St. Scholastica. During her sophomore year, the team earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament, and during her junior year the program achieved its highest national ranking in school history, reaching No. 25 in the nation. Individually, she was ranked as high as No. 5 nationally among goalkeepers, earned CSS Player of the Week honors, and received academic recognition twice during her collegiate career.
Outside of Salvo, Gittins is entering her third year as Head Varsity Boys Soccer Coach at White Bear Lake High School and her fifth year overall with the program. She is also the first female head coach of a boys sport in White Bear Lake history and in Minnesota AAA high school history.
