GIRLS' DA TALENT ID SESSIONS

WHO:

Girls who are born in 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002-2001 currently playing with Salvo SC or other clubs.

Players who are considering the Girls’ Development Academy (GDA) should attend. Players who have no intention of joining the GDA should not attend.

Players should attend their birth year. Space is limited to 36 players. Registration is required. 

WHAT:

Sessions will include a warm-up and playing 9v9 and 11v11 (based upon attendance). Observation will focus on U.S. Soccer’s Key Qualities of a player.

The Key Qualities are:

1.   Read and understand the game and make decisions
2.   Take initiative, be proactive
3.   Demonstrate focus
4.   Execute with optimal technical abilities
5.   Execute with optimal physical abilities
6.   Take responsibility and accountability for own development and performance

WHY:

These sessions provide opportunities for players interested in the unique experience of the GDA to demonstrate their ability to fit in the GDA environment. During these sessions, players who are capable of performing at a higher level of play are identified for possible GDA team participation. These sessions are not required to participate in the Tryout Dates.

COST:

These sessions are free. Players must register HERE.

NEXT STEPS:

Players should register at:

Registration does not commit a player/family to the GDA.

Once a session is full, a waitlist will be created. If we are able to add you to the session from the waitlist, we will contact you.

For the sessions:

  • Players should bring a ball
  • Players should wear a white shirt, dark (navy/black) shorts, and dark (navy/black) socks.

POST TALENT ID SESSIONS:

Families will be kept up-to-date with future Talent ID Sessions, parent information meetings, and try-out dates. Regular information will be posted to the website and directly emailed to people who have expressed an interest in information about the GDA.
