The Salvo SC Boys College Advisory Program is designed to help Salvo SC athletes in their journey toward attending and playing soccer in college. The program will consist of varying experiences. In the fall, athletes will have the opportunity to experience local college soccer games, meet the coaches of local college soccer programs, and tour local college campuses. The winter and spring will consist of seminars designed to aid athletes in navigating the college recruitment process and opportunities to bring college coaches into contact with our players via ID clinics and camps.
Getting recruited can seem like a daunting process. Our goal is to provide Salvo SC athletes with the exposure, knowledge, and resources they need to play soccer in college. Players will learn important tips about how to communicate with college coaches, how to navigate a showcase, and how to create the perfect highlight video. We will also be an advocate for our athletes to make sure that college coaches are aware of the fantastic athletes and people that we have at Salvo SC. We hope to guide each player toward playing soccer at the college of their dreams.
During the months of September and October, 2001-2007 boys on High Performance teams and 2001-2005 boys on Academy teams will have the opportunity to tour campuses, meet coaches, and watch games at several Twin Cities colleges. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about these colleges and their soccer programs.
There is no charge for these events, but you will need to register so we know how many players will be attending.
